This Spalding Mounted hoop is worth the price tag of $100. If you are not interested in getting a pole assembly and pouring concrete, this may be your option. You can mount it basically anywhere, with the garage, pole, or shop doors being popular locations. It is not the highest quality backboard. The rim is good. It is worth the price.

The Spalding 72354 is built for children and families who want to play games together. It’s not ideal for adults, but they could still play on it as long as they aren’t rough with it. The hoop is made by a good brand, it takes up little space, can be moved around, and is affordable. It’s not the most sturdy or durable, so I wouldn’t expect it to last forever. But if you are looking for an affordable hoop for your children, it’s one to consider.. Price is generally between $225 and $300 on Amazon.com
The Spalding 6839R is a middle of the road to low end Spalding Portable hoop. This is the scenario in which I would buy this hoop: If I only have one or two kids, if I was putting it into a shop or other area where it is rarely played or if I my kids are young and you want a less expensive hoop. The Polycarbonate backboard is not going to wow anybody, but it is sturdy enough. I would quit being so cheap and spend a little more money and upgrade to a better Spalding portable hoop. Good, but not as stunning as the Inground systems. I actually prefer this portable hoop to the Spalding 68454 and would buy it if I could afford it. Unfortunately, I can't because I spent all of my money on an Inground basketball hoop. The bottom line on the Spalding 68564 hoop is that you are going to get a heck of a portable hoop. I see this one all over my neighborhood. Price is generally between $545 and $600 on Amazon.com
The 88724AAP is the top of the line basketball hoop from Spalding. It features a 72" acrylic backboard, a one-piece square 8-inch pole, and a 4" foot overhang. The 180 degree breakaway rim is exactly what's used at the college and professional levels. The adjustment ranges from 7-10 feet, and is done using the U-Turn Pro system. The Spalding 88880G is one of the top in-ground systems sold by Spalding. It is big at 72" Backboard and is probably better for Dedicated courts than driveways. It takes two strong men or women or one strong man and one strong woman (politically correct statement) to set it up. Once up, it is very sturdy and will take a lot of abuse from rowdy basketball players. Price is Generally between $1,400.00 and $1,900.00 on Amazon.com
The "Beast" is the Best. This is the best Portable Hoop System that I have played and in our opinion, the best one on the market. Don't stop here though. This hoop may not be for everybody, but for us, it is #1. It is still a "Portable" Hoop system and so it has some issues with shaking and being wobbly. It also has a tendency to leak and installation is a little more tricky than other portable hoop systems. However, if I'm buying a portable hoop, this is the one I'm buying. Price is generally between $980 and $1,200 on Amazon.com
The Spalding 88365 features a 54-inch acrylic backboard and a U-Turn lift system that adjusts in infinite increments from 7-10 feet. The Spalding 66349 is a entry-level portable basketball system. There are alot of mixed reviews on this puppy. First of all, installation is more difficult than you think. It generally comes with a DVD of instructions on assembly, but it will still take many hours to get this set up. Next, it is not as sturdy as other Spalding brands. It has a tendency to vibrate and does not feel like a really well built hoop. Personally, I think this is actually a very good alternative to an expensive system. It is a good portable basketball hoop system for children. Don't love it, but I would definitely buy it if it fit my family. Price is generally between $375 and $400 on Amazon.com
